Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada and New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin is a native of New Zealand, born in Wellington but born and raised in Winnipeg was first seen in the acting world on screen in The Piano. At age 11, she became an infant Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress portraying the bright and curious daughter of Holly Hunter's main role on the film The Piano. In response to an open audition call to play the character, she got it as Flora McGrath, the daughter of an mute Scottish pianist who relocates into New Zealand in mid-19th-century to be married. It was her first role at the age of nine years old and did not have any prior experience in acting. As a teenager, she made the move to America. Paquin began her career when she was a kid, with the role of the Jane Eyre protagonist in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre as well as a major part in Fly Away Home. Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 film adaptation for television of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding and had a minor role as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She played teenagers on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
