Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action spy film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. The majority of her childhood was spent in Los Angeles where she came from a middle-class family. The mother of her children was a film buff and was able to instill a love of films into the young girl. Paula became involved in many activities at school that were co-curricular however she showed particular passion for dramatics. Paula was a fantastic actor and loved performing with her peers. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actress decided that acting was her chosen career. Through a program for summer in the University of Southern California, she had a blast there. The program offered her a three-month contract to produce documentaries on PBS. She started as an assistant to production for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the task. The next thing she did was produce documentaries. While she was happy with her work but she always dreamed of being an actor. She began her journey into acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star on love story Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in a variety of film and TV programs.
