Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress as well as a producer, director and playwright, educator, and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father is British and her mother is is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother working in rehearsals for plays. Her appearances in commercials were numerous in her early years. Then, in November 1999 Anna made the move to Toronto to advance her acting career. She eventually making the move in Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. She came across Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actor's training in Los Angeles, and they became engaged in the year 2009. Anna, who had converted to Judaism at the time, and Seth Cooperman were married in December of 2010 in Fredericton. In April 2011, they renewed their wedding vows with an Jewish ceremony. Bo's sex-based romance with Lauren was featured in the top television Couples ever and named Top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's social media following grew after the success of her television show.
